This is a 2018 Lamborghini Performante, the performance version of the Huracan. Before this I had a 2015 Huracan and before that a 2013 Gallardo. When I bought the first Lamborghini, my wife and I became friends with the with the woman who sold us the car, Laura from Lamborghini Newport Beach. She started inviting us to Lamborghini car events where we met all these really cool people. We’ve been involved in Lambo Club and other clubs like it ever since.
Don’t get me wrong, this car is amazing, but the thing that we actually like the most about owning a Lamborghini is the community. There’s nothing else in the car world that comes close to it. From what I’ve seen, most of the Ferrari guys don't drive their cars that much, although there are exceptions to that rule. The Lamborghini guys on the other hand, again with a few exceptions, mostly drive their cars.
Among the Lambo owners out here, there are always people doing stuff, getting together, going for drives. My wife is pretty involved as well, which might just be my favorite part of the whole experience. When you’ve been married for a long time, it’s usually hard to find hobbies that you have in common, but she comes out with me and we can enjoy it together. When we’ve had other cars, it wasn’t the same. Owning the car is great, but being able to share the experience with the people that you love or call your friends is really what makes it worthwhile.
